Olivia Salmon has completed the London Marathon — ten years after first taking on the challenge.

This time, she did it while balancing family life with three children and the realities of a much busier day-to-day schedule. She chose to run not just for the personal achievement, but to raise funds for the Daisy Ring Bus.

Her original goal was £500.

She has already raised over £900!

Why It Matters

The Daisy Ring Bus provides transport for Isle of Wight cancer patients travelling to Southampton for treatment.

These are regular, essential hospital journeys. For many passengers, there isn’t an alternative that’s practical, affordable, or manageable during treatment.

The service is community-run and relies on fundraising and volunteer support to continue operating.

Funds raised go towards:

  • Fuel and running costs

  • Vehicle maintenance

  • Supporting volunteer drivers

  • Keeping the service available for those who need it

A Simple, Practical Impact

Fundraisers like this make a direct difference.

They help ensure that patients can get to treatment safely and reliably, without added stress at an already difficult time.

Olivia’s effort is a clear example of how individual action contributes to keeping the service running.
